Simon came recommended by a friend who had built with Simon the year before in Elderslie.  From the first meeting we liked Simon and felt comfortable with him. We were building for the first time and being novices he held our hand and guided us through a very painless build.  Being a business owner myself, I knew that I wanted to deal with a fellow small business in our area. We wanted a builder who would be hands on throughout the process and we would not palmed off onto someone else.

From picking tiles, paint colours, bricks, the kitchen build (I love my kitchen) and so forth, every person Simon recommended was excellent.  The tradespeople were knowledgeable, very pleasant to deal with and the standard of their work was excellent. Our home is exactly as per the plan we designed and amazingly came right in at budget, how could we ask for more! My husband and I would have no hesitation in recommended Simon and EST. ‘Having left messages with a number of builders, Simon returned our call and made an appointment to visit us, late in the evening at our home.  His authenticity is what we remember the most from that first conversation.  Like comfortable shoes, we knew after that initial meeting, EST. Building was going to be our best fit.

The decision to build a new home was always going to be life changing for us.  We needed a builder who understood what we wanted from our home, the way we lived and how we could future-proof it's function as our boys got older.  We needed a builder who called us out on our dumb ideas but always had alternative options for us to consider  We needed a builder we could trust like family.  In Simon and EST. we found all those things.  

Our biggest fear in building a custom home was building a home sight unseen.  Simon gave us the freedom to dictate the functional flow of our home.  Sure, there were moments we needed to measure rooms and compare against our plans, but for the better part, we just trusted Simon's and Danyon's experience when it came to room size and design.  To their credit, they incorporated all of our feedback.

When we talk to our friends and colleagues about EST. Building it's simple, we tell them not to bother choosing anyone else.  Simon allowed us to change things along the way, he challenged us in a logical way and provided us with insight on the do's and don'ts of building.

The results of the end product speak volumes of how EST. responded to and listened to all of our needs.  Our home turned out better than we could have ever imagined.  We believe in reward being commensurate with effort, and we take that as a measure, then EST. ‘When choosing a builder we wanted flexibility on design for our home.  After meeting Simon we were impressed with his attitude from our very first consultation.  There were a few things that worried us when building.  We were concerned with time frames blowing out and any hidden costs that would occur during the build.  As expected, neither of these were a concern at all.

EST. Building responded to and exceeded our needs in all aspects.  Any questions/issues we had were dealt with immediately by whomever was necessary.

After speaking with multiple builders in the market (both project and private), we immediately felt confident and comfortable after our initial meeting with Simon. When making our decision on the right builder, one of the most important things for us was communication and we knew from the outset that having direct access to the builder from start to finish would be invaluable. We had seen homes EST. Building had previously constructed and loved everything about them from design through to workmanship. We would have been silly to proceed with any other builder.

After hearing so many horror stories through friends and family, we were fearful that our dream home may never be realised and even if it was, not at a desired level of craftsmanship/quality. We were also worried about potential unexpected delays and costs to the contract. These fears were quickly squashed early in the piece after the team at EST. Building displayed an unbelievably high attention to detail which exceeded our already high expectations. The build was completed ahead of time and the contract price didn’t change one cent from start to finish!

EST. Building were unbelievably accommodating when responding to our needs throughout the process. Regardless of who you spoke with in the team, we knew that any questions or queries were resolved in a timely manner with favourable outcomes. During the build, we decided to make ad hoc changes to the design and EST. Building bent over backwards to make these changes happen.

The communication between builder and client with EST. Building is second to none. The level of detail in the finishes of the build have exceeded our expectations and all work carried out by the trades was to a high standard and the finishes are world class. The team at EST. Building are amazing - they are easy to deal with, friendly and caring. We wanted a more personal approach to our build and we received a great impression from Simon right from our initial meeting and that’s why we chose EST. Building.

Simon was exceptional during the design process. Making and deciding on selections was difficult for us and we did make one wrong one, but EST. Building gladly helped us fix it without any troubles. Stacey was amazing in assisting with colour choices, nothing was ever a hassle.

SEYMOUR PROJECT

We first stumbled across EST. after reading the In Macarthur Home Magazine while I was waiting for an appointment. I remember taking it home and I ripped out the pages of the story so I could keep it for when we built. The home pictured had the exact same feel that we were after in our home – one that is pretty uniquely EST. The story also talked about the home being positioned on a difficult block which we also had and mentioned Simon’s involvement in the design & build process to deliver a home which was well finished.

We did our research about EST. Building and without fishing, everyone from trades to previous clients had great things to say. Having the ability to customise our house and the end result being a home which reflected the feel/quality we were after and the attention to detail in the finishes of the homes, was what made us choose EST. Building. There are a lot of things that ultimately create the feel of an EST. home. A strong focus on design, considered details (like the electrician telling us that Simon was very specific about where the power point inside the vanity would go so we would maximise usable space) and the quality inclusions and work.

It worried us that we were not able to walk into a carbon copy display home to know if it was the right layout or what we wanted, but the design has exceeded our expectations.

EST. Building listened to our brief and designed something that was completely us with clean lines, a mix of materials and textures and symmetry. We originally looked at having a traditional façade, but Simon was able to turn it into something totally unique. We loved seeing the house come to life and each site meeting has been really exciting to see our design choices go in and see it all come together.

We loved the access to the Buildertrend App, it was excellent. It was a great tool for keepingtrack of everything and we loved the regular updates. We’ve got nothing but good things to say to our family, our friends and our colleagues about EST. Building and we tell them that we’d choose to build again in a heartbeat.

We heard about the amazing quality of work from friends of EST Building. We really wanted to build a custom home, something that was unique and reflected all of the things we love and then after meeting with Simon and Stacey, we knew it was the right decision. They were so professional and explained everything simply. We stalked their website and realised a lot of the style builds they had completed was the same style we really liked so we knew we would end up with a home we loved.

We were worried about not having a great experience during the build and that things maybe wouldn’t turn out as we’d like, however we had a fantastic experience and were so happy with the communication and workmanship the whole way through - even since we have lived in our home for 3 months, we are still receiving super efficient service and the build is everything what we had hoped for and more.

There is a general sense of care from everyone at EST Building that you may not get from other builders. We know many people who have built and haven’t been happy with the quality and or communication processes from their builder, but Stacey, Simon and their team were the exact opposite. Their trades’ high quality of work was a relief and the whole team was super helpful with any issues we had. I think their systems are also streamline as we were updated daily, emails were always responded to and things were fixed in a timely manner. Their staff are so friendly.

When moving into a new home you expect to have a fair few issues but we barely had anything! They clearly are very particular with who their trades are and it is a great reflection on their business.

We would just like to say a huge thank you to EST for making our dreams become a reality. We are beyond happy with how our home turned out and constantly receive compliments on the quality, finishes and overall design. We were driving through The Oaks and stumbled across EST Building’s SEYMOUR PROJECT and decided to build with EST.

EST Building were always easily contactable and allowed us regular/daily site access and we were regularly included in our homes’ development. The daily updates via Buildertrend were akin to an excited kiddo opening each day of an advent calendar in the lead up to Christmas. The day the slab was laid and handover days were absolute standouts in our build.

We loved wishing with a builder with both expertise and creativity. The turnaround time in our build was absolutely fantastic, especially so given our home was built through Covid lockdown. Phenomenal! What could have been a mammoth task was made simple.
